Greetings Friends,
Nommad Spiritwind , self-proclaimed "Tome Keeper" at your service...
For years I have tried to keep a record or history if you will of the EQ guild Nox Secuutus...
The Archives have amassed alot of information over the years so I have begun to sift and sort
through it to present "The Chronicles of Nox Secuutus".

(10/15/05)
It's been over a year since I posted anything on this page, but many of us still hit the forums from time to time.
This post by Bamor in "the good ol times" thread really made me think about what made us great and the spirit of the memories we all hold dear.
I'm posting it today as a testament to what Nox Secuutus stood for and show the spirit we all still hold dear.

The Chronicles of Nox Secuutus

"Bamor Remembers"
Re: the good ol times

Well most of you know my beginnings in one way or another.
My fate was inter twined with the mighty Yukloong, of which the tale is told by Nommad.
So,  I will tell you another story one that had a happy ending but a very unfortunate beginning.
Anyone who knows me well prolly remembers the struggle we had tryin to get my epic.
Thanks to the full support of my Nox brothers and sisters i eventually got it.

I think i was lvl 51 which was quite an accomplishment. However, the story starts in the dreaded Plane of Fear.  I'm not sure if you remember how it was in the older times but it was a a place of great dispair. Breaking into POF was much like this...
A group of monks zoned in and agroed everything around the zone in and drug it across the zone.
After which the main body of characters would zone in turn left and run striaght to the wall where they would camp out. This plan worked about 70% of the time.
Well, on this perticular time it didnt hehe. Upon zone in the group of monks were wiped out and before they had time to give warning everyone zoned in. Ff course it was a disaster and a few clerics made it over to the wall and zoned out.

Back in that day before rogues became damage dealers, our class was used to pull corpses to the clerics for rezzing. Well, the monks went back in and pulled away and me and Yarg zoned in to get the corpses. We pulled them over and the clerics started rezzing.
After a few mobs we noticed that the pathing wasnt normal... mobs were stumbling into our camp by themselves. A great battle insued until the main tank fell. After that it was wipe after wipe after wipe. POF was one of the few places in the game where corpse rot was still a real threat. mobs stopped wondering and were camping our corpses. several guilds were called in to aid but it lead to massive wipes. Corpses had maybe 30 mins left or so.

I was perticurly distressed becuase all the work i had done for my epic was on my corpse. so i asked for the help of my guild. Next thing I know Maxi, Galane, Raljah and Aamadar showed up at the portal naked and said lets do it. So i disbanded the raid and we zoned in.

Upon entry, my comrads sprang into action, Raljah summoned my corpse and a pet and defended the group while Aam did what Aam did best. Maxi was slowing and healin the best he could and G had the port spell going off. needless to say near death and outa mana i got my corpse and the eyezzera without further loss.

To this day that is what Nox stood for. Loyalty to friends and allies. Commitment to goals and ideas. Bravery to boldly go forth into battle against the odds, and finally honor and the glue that binds all to walk the striaght and narrow.

Friendship is built upon these ideals. this is why to this day i consider you all my friends.
