OK Its been a while since my first version of this page and I would like to say a BIG thank you to those of you that have sent me more information or just sent feedback.
This Page is only about the forced/Triggered spawn of faydedar if you want to try to hunt the rare spawn good luck. 
 

THINGS TO KNOW FIRST:
  • DO NOT LET ANYONE KILL THE DWARF ON THE BEACH he is the trigger NPC!
  • There is NO PHAT LEWT from this faydedar! he is only for the druid epic.
  • Casters are best to be 53+ because the triggered faydedar is higher level and hard to land spells on.
  • Fire resist must be 90+ unbuffed or you are useless to the raid.
  • magic resist is good too if you get feared you are less than useless.
  • Casters that are Nuking must be in melee range (owe fire hot!)
  • If you are in the Caster group and you agro him try to run to him, not away from him! You are much better dead and not pulling fay away from the tanks than pulling fay to all of the other casters.

 
Getting to the hidden oasis where fay spawns

  Faydedar can be forced to spawn in a little hidden oasis in timerious deep. Not to be confused with oasis on the main land. The fastest way to get there is from butcherblock but if you are close to oasis on the mainland take that route!

GOING FROM THE MAIN LAND

  1. Take the raft from the oasis docs to Ogre island.
  2. If you have a druid in group you can succor to the island with the 8 on it and save time.
  3. On ogre island run to the bird house and go straight south.
  4. You will either need levitate or good swimming.
  5. when going south IF you hit an invisible wall follow that wall to the right until you can go south again.
  6. Once your first /loc is about -10000 go southeast until you hit the island.

GOING FROM BUTCHER BLOCK:

  1. Get on the small boats at The BB docks.
  2. Get off at the first stop this is the elf island.
  3. Kill a few elves if you are evil like me.
  4. Go to the end of the docks on the elf island and go south.
  5. You cant miss it as long as you actually go south!!!

How to kill faydedar.

  Look at the picture below I have outlined a few details.
In the picture I highlight the blue area as the place to put your casters, Well this is subject to bedate because on some occasions fay has spawned near there. EEEEK! So Put your casters either in the blue area or at the cave entrance either is ok. Last raid I went on so many of us casters were scaredy cats that most of us were High on the wall behind the blue area. This is OK too because Nukers aren't going to do anything until the fight is almost over.

Casters if you are in rage too early I hope your cleric ignores your death......(j/k) When fay is pulled many try to pull the cleric on the warf away from the combat. POINTLESS! The fear effect will hit him and agro him no matter what. I have seen the cleric get the death blow and the body did not poof. Im not sure the rules on that but I think someone has to just outdamage the cleric. Any rogue will do more than the NPC. 

Pets usualy do nothing more than run from the fear last time my 49th necro pet did no get feared once. may have been a fluke but I say use all the pets you can. Pets can be sent in at 80% But you will have to tell your pet to back off right away because he will attack because of Faydedars fear attack. At 50% Nukers can start unloading from within melee range if they get too much agro they will die but since they are in melee range they wont interfere with the tanks beating on fay.

Chanters and shamens will have a hard time debuffing him in fact having 2 enchanters and 2 shamen debuffing are a minimal requirement.

Here is the kicker faydedar is no fool he will run. if your combat is in the right area he will either run up the ramp or down the the waters edge. 

Remember its ok to die!! as long as the drood gets his epic ! 

Final moments.

  Faydedar is pretty much Naggy You need around 30 people (sometimes more sometimes less).
Of the 30ish people you have you MUST have 3 tank groups. When I say tank group I mean 5 melee's and a healer! You should have more melee's than that but the extras can be tossed in witht he other groups.
You do not want mixed groups like you would on a plains raid.
Run leaders don't be afraid to check people's gear. if you have 30 tanks and 20 of them do not have the resist gear you will get your ass handed to you!!!!

GROUPS:Each group should have a healer pure caster groups can use druids for healers because the only time any caster needs to be hit with big fast heals is if they did not follow the rules.

ASSISTING THE DRAGON! That's right clerics make that /assist faydedar key!
Why?, because if your group does not have the beast beating on you and your people have the right gear you should assist the dragon and heal the guy that he is beating on. Remember only do this if people in your group are ok.

BUFFING PREFIGHT: This is the sucky part of any dragon run. Some people like to Buff then camp until all are buffed and logged out. You can do this but its soo not necessary. The only Buffs that are necessary are Hit point buffs, Haste buffs, Fire resist and magic resist. Dragons cast dispell so you can cast Low mana costing crap buffs before the main buffs to portect them. EVERYONE does NOT need to have CII so save time and only CII the clerics. 

PRE FIGHT: OK everyone is buffed your waiting on mana for your clerics. The only casters that need to be 100% full mana before the fight starts are the clerics. Shamy's can regen mana quick and nukers have to wait half the battle anyways. NECRO's Use necros to fill them clerics up have a druid or a shammy babysit the necro prefight so they dont lich to death. (Im a necro I know we are not babys)Two necros are handy make sure you bring at least one more than two is overkill but makes it easy.

THE FIGHT! The first 10 seconds of the fight decide how the battle is going to go. I can not stress how important it is for all the melees to know to CHARGE the dragon the very first second they see him. It does not matter if you lose one or two of your lowerlevel melee's because they were the first ones to him its just important to chase the dragon and not let the dragon chase anyone.

Shamen and Chanters that are going to debuff should wait until they are 100% sure that the melees have faydedar anchored in place. If fay moves around you are likely to all die. When you debuff him Get into Melee range that way if you get on top of the agro list you do not cause faydedar to move. 

Nukers, Wait until he is at half health or less. GET IN MELEE RANGE! I can't tell you how important this is. For one reason from what I have seen that if you are not in melee range your spells will not land (correct me if im wrong). More importantly it is vital that if you agro faydedar that you do not pull fay away from the melee's. If you do agro faydedar and he is in your face DO NOT RUN, DO NOT SCREAM HELP, JUST DIE! Its best that you let fay eat you while everyone else kills him. If you have the right people and you follow my guidelines you will end up with this!
