New Member Policy

As you alll are aware from the posts on MOTD and from guild chat there has been a freeze on recruiting of new members.  I would like to explain this move in a little more detail.  I think it is a move in the right direction for all of us.

I think that in keeping with the long standing tradition in Nox to be a familly oriented guild we must first clean our own house.  This means that we must take the time to get to know one another again.  Many moons ago when Yuk was a young ranger and first joined Nox a group of us decided that Nox would be a good place for us to grow it had a very friendly homey atmosphere.  This was a good choice as we did grow, and learn, and had tons of fun, and we continue to do so till this day.  However I have noticed that there is a feeling of isolation now. There are groups of us that have no idea who the other groups are.  I think that we need to spend time together as a family, and a group of friends.  That is why I am trying to put together a series of events that will benifit all members.  I would appreciate it if all would attend especially at the events for our younger members who would benifit from our strength, and our guidance.

I have decided after talking with some of our members and after discussion with our officers that new members right now would be an added burden.  We also have come to the conclusion that we need to get some policies in place that apply to our recruiting techniques.  This way we can insure that we are getting quality members that are truly Nox material, and not just guild jumpers and beggars.  This is not to imply that your alts are no longer welcome quite the contrary.  As memebers of Nox you have all earned the right to have your alts included in the House of Nox Secuutus.

I will however be making one exception to the rule, the burden that is befalling Aamadar is a great one as he is our only cleric, and I am presently working on recruiting of another 50th level cleric.  As soon as I have gottten an answer from that individual they will be brought into the guild.  I just wanted that out in the open so when members ask why I made the exception we will all understand that it is done from nessecity , and not because of a personal reason.  Aamadar is a long standing member of the guild and has just as much right to play, and have fun as the rest of us.   That is another reason for the restrictions on ressing that I put into place the other day.

I know that sometimes I am a little pushy, but I am trying to bring some focus to the guild that all will benifit from.   I think that after a few events together we will understand what our basic weaknesses are and what classes and levels we need to shore up.  This will give us balance and allow us more hunting options for all levels.  Please be patient and I think that you all will see the benifits from this action.
