Staggering
out of the tiny hamlet of Rivervale, Kelorf in his hung over stupor cringes
at any sound above a whisper. His hangover is so bad that the sound of
his armor creaking sends his head reeling as he makes his way out of the
midget town. Seeing the deputy's and their garb he lets out a laugh then
quickly regrets it as his temples pound even harder.
Sticking to the trail he is oblivious to all the passing creatures. The wolves, bats, and rats. They all for some reason leave him alone. It is as if they sensed that he was already in agony and why add to his problems. Bounding along he came upon the Golden girl Salanea. He thought to himself why me and why now? He stood there leaning heavily on his scabbarded sword watching her as she quietly turned the pages of her spell book. "Bahh majicks are for the weak a true warrior has no need of such devices!" Meaning to say this in a joking manner it came out in a croaked voice that bore menace. Salanea just kept on reading her book oblivious to his remarks. He plopped down with an audible thud that immediately started his head to pounding yet again. Nursing his pounding head he did not note the arrival of Saram, Krysania, and Roshvarion. He was aware of their presence only after a puny goblin had chanced upon Salanea. Rising quickly to dispatch the foe he was surprised to see Saram with his mighty axe lay it low with one particularly cruel blow. Now Saram was a warrior like himself but where I had a hodge podge of armor and miss matched bits here and there Saram was serene and menacing looking in his crafted warrior armor. I thought how can a dwarf look menacing but then I had just witnessed the dispatch of the goblin. Roshvarion was a different fellow all together. He was lightly equipped with what appeared to be hard leathers with a huge scimitar. Kelorf rolled his eyes to the heavens when he saw the ineffective swing of that weapon against the goblin. He made a mental note to take this Roshvarion under his wing and teach him a few tricks. He figured the half-breed could use a bit of help if he is going to survive this harsh world. Krysania was in direct contrast to Salanea. She sported no visible armor or even a weapon for that matter. She wore simple robes that enhanced her endowments where Salanea was resplendent in her golden armor. So much so that he was want to call her the golden girl. Chuckling to himself he leaned back and tried to sleep the hangover off while everyone else whiled away their time preparing for some big campaign. As he drifted off to sleep he had visions of swimming in a sea of platinum and gold. He fell asleep counting the gold he would make on this next venture.
